The officers of the Main Division Combating Illegal Circulation of Drugs of the Central Criminal Police Department of MIA as a result of investigative activities detained Mehran R. (DoB 1969) in Tbilisi, in the vicinity of Mirotadze street for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities.
During the personal search law enforcers seized 1, 36154 gr heroin in 4 packages and 24 pills containing 5,76 gr of tramadol, while during the search of his apartment 24,67 gr heroin in 66 packages was seized.
Drug test revealed the fact of opium-group drug abuse by Mehran R.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities (article 260, III part, subparagraph A of the Criminal Code).
