The officers of Kvemo Kartli Regional Division of the Central Criminal Police Department of the MIA, as a result of investigational measures carried out on the basis of an operative information detained previously convicted Bayram E (D.o.B.: 1977) in Tbilisi for illegal purchase-storage and transportation of drugs in particularly large quantities.
During the personal search of the detainee the law enforcers seized 9,3512 gr of drugs in 12 packages, which – according to the expert opinion – contained heroin.
Drug test revealed that Bayram E. was under the influence of marijuana during his detention. The accused has pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress over the fact of illegal purchase-storage and transportation of drugs in particularly large quantities (sub clause “a” of the VI part of the article 260, the Criminal Code of Georgia).
