The officers of Adjara police department as a result of the operative-investigative activities detained three citizens of the Tirkish Republic- E.B. (DoB 1993) S.B (DoB 1988) F.E (1977) M.M. Georgian citizen (1983) in Batumi for extortion committed in group, robbery and illegal restriction of freedom.
Investigation established that at one of the night clubs of Batumi detainees demanded inadequately large amount of sum for the service. When detainees received negative answer, they ilegally restricted freedom to the citizens and extorted 2600 Turkish liras, 3040 Turkish Liras, 7172 GE and 1489 USD under the physical pressure.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of extortion committed by the group, with a previous consent of the group, robbery committed under the violence of threat of violence, which caused a substantial damage and illegal restriction of freedom, article 181, II part, sub-paragraph C and part III, sub-paragraph A, article 178, II part, sub-paragraph A and part III, sub-paragraphs A and D and IV part, sub-paragraph B, article 143, Ii part, sub-paragraph G and III part, sub-paragraph A of the Criminal Code.
