After legislative changes implemented in 2014, which was jointly elaborated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Ministry of Health, the consumption rate of home-made drugs, such as the so called “Crocodile” “Vint” and “Jeff” has decreased by 99%. After enacting the law, elaborated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs the consumption of the so called “Bio” drugs has approximately lessened by 90%.
Based on the memorandum concluded in 2013 between the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs and Ministry of Internal Affairs, the employees of the State Regulation Agency for Medical Activities and Central Criminal Police Department conducted control procurement at one of the authorized drug stores. As a result, the first group medicine was purchased without the relevant prescription. Based on the mentioned facts special examination activities have been launched in the mentioned pharmaceutical facility.
According to the data provided by September 29, 2015 281 violations were exposed as a result of the conducted examination. In 82 cases the legal circulation of the first group pharmaceutical products was violated, while 76 cases of violations were registered in pharmaceutical facilities operating on the territory of the capital. In 10 cases illegal pharmaceutical activities by the authorized facilities were registered while with regard to three cases, procedures will be launched as soon as the relevant decision will be made by the Court.
