The officers of National Interpol Bureaus of Tbilisi and Patrol Police division of Ajara, as a result of jointly held activity detained Turkish citizen Mezaper Ustabash (DoB 15.01.1977) who was wanted by the Brussels Bureau of Interpol from 18.11.2014. he was detained in the attempt to cross Georgian state border from Turkey.
Detainee is accused for the crimes envisaged by 66-, 322-, 323-, 461-, 468-, 471, 472 and 484 which stand for plotting assault and assault. In 2011 driver of the transportation company “Expresstrans” (located in Bulgaria) reported regarding the armed assault. 5 armed individuals dressed in police uniforms broke into the company office, neutralized 5 employees of “Turkish Way” took them as hostages and appropriated the envelope with presumably up to 87 700 EU. They also appropriated mobile phones and personal belongings. As a result of investigating it was established that the mentioned crime had been plotted by a person, nicknamed “Toti”. As a result of the following activities “Toti” was identified as Mezaper Ustabash.
At this stage detainee has been transferred to Guria-Ajara temporary detention center, while pre-extradition procedures are underway.
