The officers of Adjara Main Division of the MIA as a result of the operative-investigative activities detained on Airport Highway, Batumi, previously convicted Ruslan D. (DoB:1972) for illegal purchase, keeping and transportation of drugs in especially large quantity and illegal purchase, keeping and carrying of firearms and ammunition.
During the search of a vehicle belonging to the detainee the law enforcers seized “GOLD STAR 2002” pistol, three bullets and three pills of drug that according to the decision of an expertize contain 0,0311 gr. of buprenorphine. Seized weapons and ammunition were suitable for shooting.
The investigation is in progress over the fact of illicit purchase, keeping and transportation of drugs in especially large quantity and illicit purchase, keeping and carrying of firearms (sub clause “a” of the 3rd part of the article 260, sub clause “e” of the 2nd part and sub clause “e” of the 3rd part of the article 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
