Mr. Giorgi Mgebrishvili, the Minister of Internal Affairs, his deputies, Heads of Different Departments, Regional Divisions and Units and police officers personally congratulated the children of the fallen police officers with the beginning of a new school year, delivered presents and brought them to school.
This is the first school year without father for the children of Giorgi Beruashvili and Beka Margishvili, police officers fallen while performing service duties in 2015. Mr. Giorgi Mghebrishvili, the Minister of Internal Affairs personally brought to school Otar Margishvili, the child of Beka Margishvili, while Mariam Beruashvili, the child of Giorgi Beruashvili was brought to school by Giorgi Makharashvili, the partner of her father.
By the decision of the Minister of Internal Affairs the children of the fallen police officers, namely, the senior pupils were presented with the book of Guram Dochanashvili "The First Robe" with the personal dedication of the author and Mr. Giorgi Mgebrishvili, the Minister; while the pupils of the primary school were presented with schoolbag, wristwatch with symbolic inscription and school supplies.
"There are moments when one especially needs his or her father`s support . . . exactly for this reason I decided to be with the children of our police officers fallen performing their service duties. Oto's father sacrificed his live for our security; today the whole State stands with his child and it will be so always” said Mr. Giorgi Mgebrishvili during his visit to school.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs once again honored the lives and memory of police officers fallen while performing official duties. By such campaign the Minister of Internal Affairs wants each child to feel that the country does not forget their fathers` great services for homeland, always stands by them and cares about them.
