The officers of Security Police of Ajara region along with Batumi regional police division as a result of operative-investigative activities detained Jemal Sh. (DoB 1990) for robbery.
Law enforcers detained Jemal Sh. in one of the branches of the “Bank of Georgia” when he tried to appropriate cash from the bank employee under the pressure of the knife.
One of the employees of the Bank pushed the alarm button and informed Security Police about the situation. Operative response group of Security Police arrived at the place of crime in two minutes, they managed to hinder the offender and handed over Jemal Sh. to the regional police officers.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of robbery, article 178, II part. The committed crime envisages from 4 to 6 to 4 years of imprisonment
