The officers of Detectives Division of Tbilisi Police Department along with the officers of Didube-Chughureti Division of the MIA as a result of joint operative-searching and investigative activities detained Davit B. (D.o.B.: 1981) for premeditated murder.
Investigation established that the detainee along with the accompanying persons on February 16, 2016 went to the office of the company located in Aghmashenebeli Alley 9th km, Tbilisi. The conflict between Davit B. and the owners of the company – brothers Zurab B and Giorgi B. - took place, which escalated and David B. inflicted lethal injuries in chest area with a firearm to Zurab B. (DoB: 1967), while Giorgi B. (DoB: 1970) was wounded in a leg. David B. managed to flee from the scene. Zurab B. died immediately upon transfer to the hospital, currently the health condition of Giorgi B is stable.
Law enforcers detained Davit B. in several minutes in Dighomi. During the personal search of a detainee the weapon of a crime – “Makarov” pistol – was seized. Investigative activities for identification of whereabouts of an accompanying persons is in progress.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of premeditated murder, Intentional serious damage to health and illegal purchase, keeping and carrying of firearms (Articles 108, 117 and II and III parts of the Article 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
