Under the instructions of Giorgi Mgebrishvili, head of Patrol Police Department Goga Razmadze, employees of Mtskheta-Mtianeti patrol police and Mtskheta-Mtianeti police department held meeting in Gudauri which was dedicated to the formation of the ski patrol.
During the visit in Gudauri, members of the monitoring group of MIA got familiarized with the situation on the site before launching the pilot program. They visited ski slopes, infrastructure, had a conversation with civilians and sportsmen. The program was developed for strengthening security on the ski slopes. The program is aimed at enhancing security standards and additional measures as well as at founding the ski patrol service. The new program will be launched in the nearest days under the direct order of the Minister of Internal Affairs. During the recent winter season the program will be launched only in Gudauri, whereas ski patrol will become available in all winter resort destinations for the next season.
Security measures will be ensured by the Patrol Police Department, Regional Police Department and other regional MIA units within their area of operation.
