The Minister of Internal Affairs, Giorgi Mgebrishvili awarded employees from the Special Aviation Main Division and IT Policy and Development Bureau of the MIA Border Police for performing their official duties excellently.

Your every appearance in the sky gave hope, strength and a result when fighting the disaster… These 2000 flies that you had made have shown everyone what a brave and patriot heart can do. Through these difficult times your children have seen themselves what a true hero is.
You are high class pilots and crew members who sometimes execute life-threatening maneuvers to help a man in danger.
As pilots say, aviation stars from the ground. In those tough days pilots have been backed up by a tireless personnel working on reliability and readiness of flying objects. I want to thank them heartily.

By the order of Giorgi Mgebrishvili 21 employees from the Border Police Special Aviation Main Division have been awarded with medals for "Bravery" and 4 employees from the Border Police IT Policy and Development Bureau with the medallion for “Outstanding Achievement”.
The video clip, depicting rescue activities at different fire-extinguishing locations has been presented at the award ceremony.
The event was attended by the family members of the MIA Border Police employees.
