Tbilisi Public School #176 was visited by Mr. Archil Talakvadze, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Courtney E Austrian, the Head of the Public Affairs Section of the US Embassy and Tracey Newell, the Head of the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs Bureau of the US Embassy. The guests attended the interactive lesson of the primary grade given by a specially retrained patrol-inspector. The lesson was given within the framework of the project of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia “Children, Police Officers and Security”.
During the theoretical and practical training the pupils were provided with necessary and useful information on road safety.
The program aims to raise public awareness of road safety and accident prevention. The project is implemented within the framework of the “Georgia Community Action and Linkages for Legal Socialization” (GE CALL) with financial support of the INL and in cooperation with the non-governmental organization PH International.
