The Emergency Situations Management Agency of the MIA opened a renovated building of the Firefighting and Rescue Service in Kobuleti.
The above mentioned event was attended by Mr. Merab Malania, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Zviad Katsashvili, the Director of the Emergency Situations Management Agency, officials of different units of the Agency, Mr. Archil Khabadze, the Chairman of the Government of Adjara and Mr. Avtandil Beridze, the Chairman of Adjara Supreme Council. The guests saw round the renovated building, firefighting and rescue hardware and equipment.
The firefighters and rescuers presented the simulative demonstration for the guests, in particular, they got down a “victim” from the height by a special stretcher and performed quick landing.
The newly renovated, two-storied building is equipped with the newest technique and equipment. 47 firefighters and rescuers as well as 6 employees shall work in the new building. Kobuleti shall be served by 6 firefighting and 2 rescue vehicles.
