The Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Giorgi Mghebrishvili held a meeting with Mr. Pascal Meunier, the Ambassador of France to Georgia. The parties reviewed the results of the working visit of Mr. Giorgi Mghebrishvili to France.
The Minister focused on the cooperation between the law enforcement structures of Georgia and France which has been even more deepened in the last period through the bilateral contacts, police attaches and the Interpol. According to Mr. Giorgi Mghebrishvili, during his visit to France he provided his French colleague with comprehensive information about the current reforms in the Agency and the innovations.
Mr. Giorgi Mghebrishvili and Mr. Pascal Meunier talked about the Visa Liberalization Action Plan, successfully implemented by Georgia. The parties underlined the importance of joint measures in combat illegal migration and organized crime.
The Ambassador of France reiterated the support of the French Government to Georgia’s aspiration for European integration.
As it was mentioned at the meeting, Georgian delegation will travel to France next week and have working meetings with French colleagues.
