Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Mr. Giorgi Mghebrishvili held meeting with the Director of the Middle East Regional Office of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Mr. Kyle Williamson.
Mr. Mghebrishvili informed Mr. Williamson about accomplished and ongoing reforms at the Ministry in the field of fighting drugs. The Minister noted that fight against drug related crime remains one of the key priorities.
Parties positively assessed cooperation that was established between the Georgian law enforcement agencies in recent years and discussed perspectives to further deepen the existing relations.
Mr. Mghebrishvili emphasized the importance of joint efforts and trainings to successfully fight drug crime. Minister extended his gratitude to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) representatives for fruitful and close cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the field of fighting drug crime.
