The delegation of the Gendarmerie General Command of the Republic of Turkey headed by Major General, Ferdi Korkmaz, paid a working visit to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Guests held meetings with the heads of the Central Criminal Police Department and the Special Tasks Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
Members of the delegation also visited the Patrol Police Department, Tbilisi Police Department, the Emergency Management Service, the Public Safety Command Center "112", the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and got familiarized with the work specifics of above-mention structural units at the place.
During the meetings held within the frames of the visit, parties talked about the importance of effective and fruitful cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Georgia and the Republic of Turkey and discussed the prospects of future cooperation.
The purpose of visit was to enhance cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Gendarmerie General Command of the Republic of Turkey and to share experience.
