The cascade training on Traffic Crash Investigation was conducted for the representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, with the support of the US Embassy’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).
As a result of the training employees of the Patrol Police Department, Forensic-Criminalistics Department and the LEPL Public Safety Command Center - "112" were trained.
The training was conducted by the instructors of the Illinois State Police.
The participants of the training course discussed important issues, such as: investigation of traffic accidents and production of documentation; efficient allocation of time during the investigation; registration of traffic accidents that did not result in serious injury or loss of life; communication with private insurance companies and etc.
The closing ceremony in Kutaisi was attended by the leadership of the Patrol Police Department and the Director of the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), Sarah Rupert.
Participants of the trainings were awarded with the relevant certificates.
US embassy in Georgia has been cooperating with the Ministry of Internal Affairs for many years on the matters of road safety, cyber security, domestic violence, trafficking, tactical training, enhancing the capacities of MIA Academy, juvenile crime prevention, etc.
