The helicopter made a scheduled weekly flight to Tusheti. In addition to rotating the border guards and transporting their cargo, the border aviation assisted the local population as well. The Kakheti State Governor Irakli Kadagishvili, delivered basic food products to about 25 families in the villages of Tusheti.
The Border Police Aviation made a planned flight to Khevsureti as well.
Mtskheta-Mtianeti State Governer Shalva Kereselidze delivered products and basic necessities to about 50 families living in the villages in Khevsureti.
Due to difficult geographical and meteorological conditions, the villages of Tusheti, Shatili and Arkhoti are still cut off from the outside world, and communication with the population is provided by the Border Police helicopters.
