The Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs would like to inform citizens that today, on November 18, a rally organized by the opposition political parties is taking place in Tbilisi, due to which, the traffic movement is temporarily restricted in some districts of the capital.
In particular, the traffic movement is completely restricted on Republic Square and Rustaveli Avenue (from the former post office building to Freedom Square). The traffic will not be able to move on any of the streets joining Rustaveli Avenue. Due to the mentioned, vehicles will take alternate routes.
In addition to the mentioned, the traffic flow from Melikishvili Avenue will be directed only to Merab Kostava Street.
Vehicles will not be able to move in the direction of Rustaveli metro station. Also, all the streets connecting the metro station “Rustaveli” to Philharmonic Hall and routes leading to Kostava Sreet are closed.
Traffic is restricted to vehicles traveling from the Galaktioni Bridge to the Elbakidze Ascent - drivers will have to continue movement in the direction of Davit Agmashenebeli Avenue or Mtkvari river side.
The safe movement of traffic is ensured and regulated by patrol police crews. In case of necessary, drivers will receive additional instructions from patrol inspectors.
