Director of Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia- Vazha Siradze met the head of EU-funded project- “Improving Quality of Prosecution and Criminal Investigation in Georgia”- Terry Scaife.
At the meeting the parties discussed topics, such as: the system of crime and road accidents analysis and its integration into the unified database of the Ministry, first respond to crime and patrol police functions in this process, the role and goals of patrol police in intelligence led policing etc.
At the end of the meeting the head of Patrol Police Department expressed the gratitude to the project for the support and underlined his readiness for future cooperation.
The project has been implemented in close cooperation with International Relations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs since 2016. The aim of the project is to support, coordinate and monitor the reform of the criminal justice system, as well as to facilitate the reform process of the Prosecutor’s Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs in accordance with international standards and obligations.
