The delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan headed by the Head of the Almaty Academy, Aidar Saitbekov, paid a working visit to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
The visit was organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime Regional Office for Central Asia (UNODC ROCA) and the purpose of it is to get acquainted with the reforms and best practices implemented within the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandre Darakhvelidze, along with other senior officials of the Ministry, met with members of the Kazakh delegation. During the meeting, the parties underlined the importance of existing cooperation between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the two countries and discussed future perspectives.
At the end of the meeting, Aleksandre Darakhvelidze expressed hope that the information and experience shared within the visit will be useful for the Kazakh side while implementing reforms in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Members of the delegation also met with representatives of the Information-Analytical Department, the Central Criminal Police, General Inspection and the Department of Human Resources Management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The delegation also visited the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Patrol Police Department, the Service Agency, the Public Safety Command Center "112", and Tbilisi Police Department and got familiarized with the specifics of their work at the place.
