The US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Georgia, Robin Dunnigan visited the Emergency Situations Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
The Head of the Emergency Situations Management Service, Temur Mghebrishvili hosted the US Ambassador.
Robin Dunnigan had the opportunity to inspect various types of special fire and rescue equipment that were donated to the Emergency Situations Management Service through the humanitarian assistance program with the support of the US European Command Office of Defense Cooperation (ODC). Additionally, she observed the operational command center, which was also equipped with assistance from the US.
The parties discussed the close and fruitful relations between Georgia and the USA, with a particular focus on further strengthening cooperation in the field of emergency management. Temur Mghebrishvili expressed gratitude to the US Ambassador and the representatives of the US European Command Office of Defense Cooperation (ODC) for their assistance and emphasized that the donated special equipment will significantly enhance the capabilities of firefighters in conducting rescue operations across the country.
