International Organization for Migration (IOM) with the financial assistance of European Union handed over modern equipment to the Forensic-Criminalistics Department, as well as Central Criminal Police Department.
The equipment handover ceremony was held in the newly opened building of Forensic-Criminalistics Department. Representatives of the Ministry as well as European Union and International Organization for Migration (IOM) delivered speeches for the audience.
The equipment provided to Forensic-Criminalistics Department of the MIA complies with international standards and will assist the experts in thorough examination of the documents and determination of their authenticity. The purpose of the special computer program delivered to the Central Criminal Police Department is to promote effective fight against cybercrime.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the European Union have implemented many successful projects within the framework of close cooperation that has significantly contributed to strengthening the capabilities of the Ministry.
