The officers of the General Inspection and the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a result of jointly held operative and investigative activities, on the basis of judge decision detained detective assistant investigator of the 7th Unit of Vake-Saburtalo Division of Tbilisi Police Department – B.A. – for illegal purchase, keeping and distribution of drugs. The crime committed by him envisages imprisonment from 6 to 11 years in length.
The investigation established that B.A. sold illegally to a citizen the drug "tetrahydrocanabinol".
The investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase, keeping and distribution of drugs (parts 1 and 4 of the Article 260 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
