The officers of Imereti, Racha-lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained previously convicted twice for stealing, once for robbery and consumption of drugs and currently on probation Shota K. for illegal carrying of the cold steel. Law enforcers placed the mentioned person at temporary detention isolator.
After being admitted in the facility, Shota K. inflicted self-injuries on his body and stated to the law enforcers that he swallowed a piece of the blade that he was hiding in his mouth. Adequate response was made on the mentioned fact, in particular law enforcers called the ambulance crew and transferred the detainee at the treating facility. Examination revealed that Shota K. did not swallow any piece of blade, while further examinations were rejected by the detainee himself. He was lately discharged from the treating facility. At this moment detainee is placed at temporary detention facility. He is under the constant control. In case of necessity he will be rendered relevant medical aid. At this moment his condition of health is satisfactory.
