The right to assembly and manifestation is one of the basic rights ensured by the Constitution of Georgia and Georgian legislation. Government of Georgia respects and protects basic human right and freedoms, including right to assembly and manifestation. Therefore, Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is dedicated to ensure public safety and security of assembled persons during the rally scheduled for November 15, 2014 at Rustaveli Avenue.
Please, take into account that Georgian legislation envisages rules and regulations of assembly and manifestations and responsibility for ensuring the compliance with the law is upon the organizers and participants of the rally.
Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia will undertake all necessary measures to ensure the safety of assembled persons on November 15, 2014. Therefore, Ministry will timely respond to all violations of law within its competence and prevent all possible provocations.
