We would like to respond to the incident that occurred on Leonidze Street, Tbilisi, we clarify that in order to fulfill official duties, the bus of the Special Tasks Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was moving on the road, using a special beacon for an operational task.
The drunk driver of one of the vehicles, moving on the same road – I.Ts. (DoB 1991), ignored multiple requests of the law enforcement officers to let them pass and thus hindered their movement.
Despite the fact that the bus attempted to overtake the mentioned vehicle in order to continue the movement, the driver and his companions did not allow the bus to do so, which resulted in a confrontation between them and the law enforcement officers.
The case has been forwarded to the Special Investigation Service for further actions.
