Ministry of Internal Affairs would like to inform society regarding the midterm results of the ongoing investigation into the case of Tamar Bachaliashvili.
On August 5, 2020 computer expertise report was received from LEPL “Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau” with the involvement of the family lawyer.
According to the result of the expertise report, a number of photo-video files have been recovered from the memory of “Apple” portable computer owned by Tamar Bachaliashvili as well as the browsing data history details. Following the expertise report and examination protocol, on July 17, 2020, the day before disappearance, Tamar Bachaliashvili has accessed the “help” section on the Facebook page at 18:36 with the following title – “What will happen to my Facebook account if I pass away?” In the exact same time, Tamar Bachaliashvili had typed the following text in google search system - “Facebook cancel account after death”. On June 18, 2020, one month before disappearance, at 00:16:37 am, Tamar Bachaliashvili typed the following text in the google search system – “Best ways for suicide”. On the same day, at 00:15:51 pm she accessed informational portal, Wikipedia web-page and typed the following title in the search section – “Suicide methods – Wikipedia”. After accessing the aforementioned link, the Wikipedia English-language article under the title – “Suicide methods” is available for internet users, describing various methods of suicide.
According to the report, from the computer browsing data history and protocol written on July 22, 2020 after the examination of the vehicle owned by Tamar Bachaliashvili, it has been clarified that medications found in the vehicle and search results of the GOOGLE search system of July 17, 2020, (the day of disappearance) partially coincide with each other. Herewith, the Ministry would like to inform citizens that Tamar Bachaliashvili’s work place - LTD “ZAG” was registered on December 30, 2015. Director- Tamar Koberidze. At the initially stage, the sole owner of company’s 100 % share was Nikoloz Gejadze, however, from January 30, 2018 the owner of 100% share became Abraham Rainbach. At this stage, it has been established that “ZAG” company not operates in Georgia and its activities are related the international orders.
Investigative measures are being held to study the activities of the company. Intensive investigative activities are also held with regard to the case of Tamar Bachaliashvili, relevant expertise procedures are underway. The Ministry actively communicates with the family of the deceased.
The agency will gradually inform public regarding the ongoing case. Due to the high public interest, the Agency publishes part of the information obtained from Tamar Bachaliashvili’s computer.
