Ministry of Internal Affairs would like to respond to the information alleging that 9 police officers from Old Tbilisi police division have been dismissed from their positions due to the incident with Bera Ivanishvili.
The aforementioned information is a complete falsehood. Ministry would like to state that no incident took place in none of the buildings of Old Tbilisi Police division, which would be related to Bera Ivanishvili and not a single fact has been recorded in which he might be involved.
Herewith, information alleging that 9 police officers were dismissed from their positions from Old Tbilisi police division is not correct.
Ministry also would like to specify that owning to specifics of the operative work and other objective reasons, relocation of the staff is held occasionally.
Herewith, Ministry of Internal Affairs would like to note that persons, who make comments through the television regarding the alleged incident, are not related to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Thus, such actions raise reasonable doubts that derogatory statements are aimed to discredit the Ministry and serve for the specific political aims.
