In connection with the explosion of the vehicle owned by the member of “United National Movement” Givi Targamadze which took place in Tbilisi on October 4, investigation was launched on the fact of the attempted murder under aggravating circumstances, article 19-109 of the Criminal Code. Investigation is conducted by Detectives Division of Tbilisi Police Department.
As soon as the report was received all relevant MIA units were deployed at the site, including Patrol Police, Tbilisi Police Department, Central Criminal Police and Emergency Situations Management Agency as Forensics.
Investigative activities have been initiated immediately, in particular: forensics conducted detailed examination on the place of crime, CCTV camera records were extracted; persons injured as a result of the blast as well as eye witness are being interrogated. Besides the mentioned all relevant expertise are planned to be conducted.
