The officers of Old Tbilisi Division of Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a result of operative searching and investigative activities on the fact of robbery detained in Tbilisi G.S. (DoB: 1987). The crime committed by him envisages imprisonment from 3 to 7 years in length.
The investigation established that the defendant stole the apartment of one of the citizen in Amagleba Street and appropriated expensive antique items: a painting performed in 1817 by Russian portraitist, Orest Kyprensky, an antique painting, an ivory gold plated wheel of "Mercedes" made vehicle, 8 antique chairs, antique wheel of a ship, carpet and etc.
During the search of an offender’s garage the police seized stolen items as material evidences. At the end of the investigation, these items will be returned to their legal owner.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal entering the apartment, which caused significant loss; the crime envisaged by the sub-clause "a" of the II part and sub-clause “c” of the III part of the article 177 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
