The officers of the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the territory of the border sector “Kirnati” on charges of illegally crossing the state border of Georgia detained the citizen of the Republic of Turkey.
The investigation established that the offender by bypassing the border checkpoint from the Republic of Turkey illegally crossed the State Border of Georgia.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal crossing of the State Border of Georgia (Part 1 of the Article 344 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
In addition, in the border sector “Sarpi” the citizen of Syria was detained for attempt to cross the state border illegally.
The investigation established that the offender bypassing the border checkpoint tried to cross the Georgian state border in the direction of the Republic of Turkey.

Also, the officers of "Tbilisi Airport" – Border Migration Control Division of the Patrol Police Department - in Shota Rustaveli International Airport detained 1 citizen of Uzbekistan and 2 citizens of Turkey for the attempt to cross the State Border of Georgia illegally.
The citizen of Uzbekistan tried to enter Georgia by the passport belonging to another person. The investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal crossing of the State Border of Georgia (Part 1 of the Article 19-344 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
As for the 2 citizens of Turkey, they tried to cross the state border of Georgian illegally by forged Bulgarian travel passports.
