The officers of the District Inspectors Unit of Rustavi Division of Kvemo Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia as a result of immediately conducted operative-investigative activities detained in Rustavi D.Sh (DoB:1964) for robbery. The crime committed envisages imprisonment from 5 to 7 years in length.
The investigation established that G.K., armed with a cut double-barrelled gun, attacked the Express branch of the Bank of Georgia located in Megobroba Avenue in Rustavi. He intended to grab money from the bank, but he did not manage to fulfil the intention.
The law enforcers performing service duties in the vicinity of the Express branch of the Bank of Georgia managed to disarm the offender and detained him on the scene. The weapon of the crime - cut double-barrelled gun, mask and gloves were seized as material evidences.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of robbery (part I of the Article 179 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
