The officers of Kakheti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs opened the fact of the murder near the village of Tsinandali in Telavi Municipality as a result of investigative and immediate operative measures. Z.Z. – date of birth: 1980 - has been arrested on charges of premeditated murder.
The sentence for the offense is the imprisonment from 7 up to 15 years.
In connection with the same fact, the law enforcers arrested J.J. – date of birth 1977 - on charges of negligent possession of a firearm, which resulted in the loss of human life.
At this stage of the investigation, it has been established that on August 16, this year, the quarrel between several people in the vicinity of the village of Tsinandali, Telavi Municipality, turned into a physical confrontation. During the confrontation, V.Ts. – date of birth: 1971 - opened fire from a firearm registered in the name of J.J., who is currently detained as a defendant, which was followed by retaliatory firing from a firearm by the N.K. - participating in the same confrontation.
As a result of the shooting carried out by N.K., four persons: V.Ts. - born in 1971, Z.Z. - born in 1976, Z.M. - born in 1975 and A.Sh - born in 1991 - were wounded. As a result of the injuries, V.Ts. and Z.Z. died at the scene, while Z.M. and A.Sh. were provided with appropriate medical care.
The investigation also established that during the confrontation, Z.Z., arrested as a defendant, also fired from a firearm, as a result, N.K. - born in 1994 - was fatally wounded.
Police seized the tools of the crime - a "Stechkin" pistol and a "Saiga" type semi-automatic firearm as evidence.
The fact of murder is being investigated under the article 109 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
