The officers of Kvemo Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Adjara Police Department, as a result of joint operative-searching and investigative activities conducted on the basis of a judge's decision, detained R.G (date of birth: 1988) on charges of robbery committed by more than one person. The crime committed by him envisages the term of imprisonment from 6 to 12 years.
The investigation found that on December 29, 2017 T.G – masked and armed with a cold steel along with his accomplices assaulted the dwelling place of N.M (date of birth: 1954) in Aiazma village, Tsalka region gunmen. Having treated the woman to kill, the offenders robbed the golden jewelry worth 40,000 USD, 14 thousand GEL, 100 thousand rubles, mobile phone worth 300 Euro and fled from the scene.
The police, in the course of the investigative actions, seized some of the robbed items as evidence.
Law enforcers detained R.G in Batumi as a result of investigative activities; the measures for identification and detention of the offender’s accomplices are underway.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of by illegal entry into the dwelling place to seize large quantities of property - the subparagraph ”b” of the II part, the subparagraphs “b” and “c” of the II part of the article 179, the Criminal Code of Georgia.
