The officers of Guria Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities on the grounds of judge's decision detained in Ozurgeti B.S. (DoB: 1950) on the fact of assault, threatening and encroachment upon inviolability of house or other possession.
At this stage the relevant investigative actions are underway, including the procedure for identifying the alleged offender by the victim.
The investigation established that in the morning of May 11 of the current year, in the village Dvabzu, Ozurgeti municipality, the offender demonstrating the knife demanded money from the US citizen A.O., the volunteer of the Peace Corps. The lady started shouting, and the attacker managed to escape from the scene without causing physical injuries to the US citizen and without money.
On May 22 B.S. illegally encroached the yard of the house of one of the citizens in the village Shemokmedi, Ozurgeti municipality and threatened the death towards the woman born in 1965.
As a result of investigative activities the law enforcers detained B.S. on May 23. The crime committed by him envisages imprisonment from 5 to 7 years in length.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of robbery, threatening and encroachment upon inviolability of house or other possession (part I of the Article 179 and the Articles 151 and 160 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
