The officers of Old Tbilisi Division of Tbilisi Police Department, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of the operative-searching activities detained in Tbilisi A.A – date of birth: 1971, with several previous convictions for theft of a vehicle. The crime committed by him envisages the term of imprisonment from 3 to 7 years.
The investigation found that the accused stole the Mercedes model vehicle in Aladashvili Street in Tbilisi; after the mentioned he removed the tires and tape recorder and left the vehicle in the territory of Vashlijvari. Law enforcers seized the stolen items as evidence.
The investigation is underway on the fact of a vehicle theft that has resulted in considerable damage, the subparagraph "a" of the 2nd part and the subparagraph “d” of the 3rd part of the article 177 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
