Ministry of Internal Affairs is implementing anti-drug social campaign which is aimed against the use of synthetic drugs. Slogan of the social campaign is – “Changing Attitude Together”. Within the frames of the campaign Ministry of Internal Affairs announced contest for journalists for best work on the topic of “No to synthetic drugs”. Winners will be announced in several nominations: best TV story, TV program, best radio story, best radio program, best article author. Those who are willing to participate in the contest will have to upload their materials on Facebook page during a month.
Materials will be evaluated and winners will be revealed by the special jury, members of which are: journalist and television anchorwoman Eka Khoperia, writer Rati Amaghlobeli, psychologist Marina Katcharava, expert-narcologist Zurab Sikharulidze, head of MIA Public Relations Department Nino Giorgobiani and head of the Division of International Legal Co-operation of MIA International Relations Department Sopo Kiladze.
Ministry of Internal Affairs launched the social campaign on March 24. Aim of the campaign is the prevention of using synthetic narcotics and informing public. Doctors who participated in social videos inform public on threats and dangers of the so called bio drugs. Social videos were aired by TV channels and radios and shown at cinemas and disseminated in social networks. With the frames of the campaign special informative video was also prepared by Emergency Response Center 112 by means of which society will receive information on first symptoms typical after using “bio” narcotics. Public will also receive information on inevitability to call ambulance after detecting first signs of bio drugs addiction.
