Minister of Internal Affairs along with the Minister of Education and Science attended lesson dedicated to the security issues
Giorgi Mgebrishvili and Aleksandre Jejelava visited public school N176 and attended lesson on security issues within the frames of MIA-led project.
“Ten Lessons of Security” was launched under the initiative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs along with the Ministry of Education and Science, within the frames of which the project is being implemented in 42 public schools all around the country. Lessons are conducted by the representatives of Patrol Police Department, Emergency Situations Management Agency and 112 center.
During the lesson special guide book specially made for the mentioned program was introduced, which includes traffic rules and norms of behavior during emergency situations, specially adapted for the fifth-graders.
“Building of the state with western values starts from this kids, from their attitude and decision making. Therefore, it is particularly important for me that they carefully consider security norms and respect of the law. In this direction Ministry of Internal Affairs works intensively and implements several projects, including “Ten Lessons of Security” within the frames of which relevant guide book was created.
“I want to thank Ministry of Education and Science for the contribution made in this project and also this children who got actively involved in the lessons led by the MIA representatives. I have great hopes in relation to these kids”-stated Minister Mgebrishvili.
During the study year pupils will have 10 lessons on security issues. MIA representatives will acquaint children norms of behavior during crisis situations, such as-earthquake, fire, flood, car accident and other emergencies.
The program is aimed at raising awareness of the minors on public order and security issues.
