A new building assigned to the operative response group of the Security Police is opened in the borough of Ureki. The modern standard building equipped with advanced technical means was opened by Mr. Aleksandre Chikaidze, the Minister of Internal Affairs and Mr. Guram Tomaradze, the Chairman of the Security Police Department – LEPL of the MIA.
Since 2007 the population of Grigoleti, Ureki and Shekvetili has been served by the operative response group of the Security Police of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Regional Division. The new building assigned to the operative response group of the Security Police in the borough of Ureki shall ensure effectiveness and prompt responsive activities by the law enforcement officers.
At this stage approximately 50 country cottages, commercial objects and hotels within the mentioned tourist area are guarded by the Security Police technical facilities. By the beginning of a tourist season the Security Police expects increase of the number of the objects to be guarded, relevantly the Security Police shall meet this demand with a new building, new operative vehicle, updated uniforms for the employees and technical equipment. Besides Ureki, the Regional Division of Adjara in the Black Sea region has been delivered 5 new vehicles - „Skoda Octavia“.
The Security Police is subject to the significant changes. It has changed its corporate colour, logo, slogan and uniforms, also the car park has been refurbished and the appearance of the vehicles has been changed. Professional and fire trainings of the officers employed in operative direction obtained systematic and planned character, also the reception of operative alarms and the responses to those have been improved.
