Today Mr. Aleksandre Chikaidze, the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Major General Zurab Gamezardashvili, the Head of Border Police solemnly opened a new building of the 6th sector “Kartsakhi” of the II Division of the Border Police, the Land Border Guard Department in Akhaltsikhe.
At the opening ceremony the Minister of Internal Affairs delivered the welcoming speech. The ceremony was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and other high-rank officials. After the ceremony the Minister and the guests had a tour around the border checkpoint “Kartsakhi” which is under construction and located at Georgian-Turkey state border.
Also by the end of the year there will be built 10 sectors of the Border Police of the MIA.
