In the courtyard of the Ministry, the memorial of police officers who died for the unity of Georgia was decorated with flowers, and the heads of various departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs paid tribute to the memory of heroes of August War 2008.
16 years ago, in August 2008, during the war between Russia and Georgia, 14 employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and 5 employees of the Coast Guard were killed.
