Minister of Internal Affairs opened new police building in Saguramo. The two-story, modern building is equipped with the latest equipment and inventory. Police officers can also enjoy well-equipped gym. In the newly built building several police units will be located, in particular: Saguramo police unit of Mtskheta police division of Mtskheta-Mtianeti Regional Main Division and operational response team of Mtskheta-Mtianeti division of the Security Police.
“New police building was opened, where regional police as well as security police units will also be located. Building is equipped with new inventory and technical appliances. For Saguramo, it is very important to have the police, since it is a big settlement and is surrounded with other villages and in summer period population doubles by vacationers. Thus, the new building will be important for the population and for the policemen as well”-stated Minister of Internal Affairs.
The above mentioned units were located in different buildings until the recent period. By locating units in one building their activities will be improved, more coordinated, timely and effective. Construction works of the new police building lasted for one year.
