Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandre Tchikaidze met with border guards who won World Kickboxing Championship and their trainer. Minister expressed gratitude towards sportsmen for successful participation in World Kickboxing Championship, congratulated on winning and awarded them.
The tournament was held in Prague, the Czech Republic on November 10-15. The Georgian border policemen were competing as the members of the Georgian Kickboxing Federation Team. The Border guards of N4 division of the Border Police won three gold, one silver and one bronze medals in the various weight categories: the world champions Valeri Vachridze (57 kg weight category), Arsen Karagvezashvili (71 kg weight category), Khvicha Kokuashvili (86 kg weight category), silver medalist – Levan Tsiklauri (60 kg weight category) and bronze medalist Davit Kadagidze (75 kg weight category).
The sportsmen are trained by the Georgian border guard, Tamaz Karagvezashvili in Dedoplistskaro. Locals are enlisted in the team alongside with the border guards. They also have won 2 silver medals: Giogri Tsiklauri (63 kg weight category) and Shalva Khositashvili (67 kg weight category) and a bronze medal Nugzar Karagvezashvili (63 kg weight category).
