Minister of Internal Affairs AleKsandre Tchikaidze has awarded those journalists who won the contest held within the frames of the anti-drug campaign. Winners were awarded by the Minister of Internal Affairs with “IPad Air” and certificates of gratitude.
Winners were named in several nominations: best TV story, TV program, radio story, radio show and author of the best article. Jurnalist of “Gurianews” Tamuna Lepsveridze was named as the author of the best article. Lela Baghdavadze journalist of Radio Palitra was named as the author of the best radio story on synthetic-drugs. Journalists of “Imedi” TV company Naniko Khazaradze and Sopo Narchemashvii were awarded with prizes for best TV show on the theme of synthetic drugs, while journalist from “Rustavi2” Davit Kashiashvili was named as winner for best TV story. Students from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University were also awarded with special certificates of gratitude for making special video on the theme of synthetic drugs. Minister handed over certificates of gratitude to all contestants for participation and supporting the anti-drug campaign.
Materials were assessed and evaluated by special jury, which consisted of: the writer Rati Amaglobeli, narcologist Zura Sikharulidze, psychologist Marina Katcharava, Head of Public Affairs Department of MIA Nino Giorgobiani and Head of International Legal Cooperation Division of the International Relations Department of the MIA Sopo Kiladze.
Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced the contest on March 31 of the current year for best material on the topic of synthetic drugs within the frames of anti-drug campaign. Aim of the campaign is the prevention of synthetic drugs consumption and to keep the public informed on the negative effects of the synthetic drugs. Slogan of the campaign is “Changing attitude together”
