Dear Minister,
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia strongly condemns the act of terror against the staff of satirical magazine “Charlie Hebdo” causing injuries to more than 10 and death of 12 people. Among them two police officers, who sacrificed their lives in order to ensure safety and security of others. This was a direct assault on the basic values of democracy, on the media and freedom of expression.
On behalf of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, I would like to convey our support and sympathy to the French people in this time of grief and sadness. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of France, the families of the victims and all those affected by this horrific act.
We stand with the French people in the fight against terror and defending the democracy.
