Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Archil Talakvadze, within the frames of “Safe City” project and with the support of USAID Centre of Civic Engagement, held meeting with civil society in Telavi. At the meeting Deputy Minister reviewed activities held by MIA as well as crime prevention, ongoing and scheduled reforms of the Ministry and provided comprehensive answers to all questions of the public.
In the Meetings, representatives of local non-governmental organizations, media, academic circles and local youth took part. Project “Safe City” will help to raise awareness on police activities in regions, enable the Ministry to receive information and make response on the existing problems in the province. Under the organization of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and with the support of USAID Centre of Civic Engagement, thematic meeting with civil society will be held in 10 cities of the country within the frames of “Safe City” project beginning from February to April
