Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs along with representatives of MIA Administration and General Inspection held meeting with students of the Tbilisi Open University within the frames of “Safe City” project.
Public discussion was held on crime prevention, fight against drug crime, elimination of the domestic violence, pedestrians’ safety, Patrol Police activities and on building trust towards Patrol Police as well as on juvenile crime. Students put their questions and made their own presentations on main indicators of the safe city. They also touched upon the EU Association agenda and ongoing reforms of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Cooperation with Tbilisi Open University will continue in the future within the frames of the initiative.
Project “Safe City” contributes to raising awareness on police activities in regions, accountability and will further improve the transparency standard.
