The Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Nino Javakhadze met the Steering Committee members in the framework of the project funded by the Embassy of the Netherlands. The project “Building Trust and Confidence between Police and Society” is implemented by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia together with “Georgian Center for Strategy and Development (GCSD)”.
Relevant representatives from the Ministry as well as from Georgian Center for Strategy and Development (GCSD)” attended the meeting. They summarized implemented activities and defined future priority activities.
The project aims to assist the Ministry in building trust and confidence between the police and society and enhancing awareness on Community Police Officer Institute.
The project started in March 2019 and the following activities have been carried out: Visits in schools and universities, social activities, public opinion research. Furthermore, the communication strategy for Community Police Officer Institute has been drafted.
