The Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Vakhtang Gomelauri held an introductory meeting with the newly appointed Head of the EU Delegation to Georgia, Pawel Herczynski.
Vakhtang Gomelauri congratulated the Head of the Delegation on the commencement of his diplomatic mission in Georgia and wished him success in his future endeavors.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the existing challenges in the context of regional security, competences of the Ministry of Internal Affairs within the EU- Georgia cooperation, as well as the successful ongoing cooperation with relevant EU agencies.
Vakhtang Gomelauri introduced Pawel Herczynski with the ongoing reforms within the Ministry and underlined the importance of the EU support in the reform process.
At the end of the meeting, the parties discussed the perspectives of enhancing the existing cooperation.
